. In that panel Versailles, single elements are assemblied by real bog oak. According to dendro-chronological checks, some parts of that bog oak are more than 5000 years old. It means that this oak tree were growing approx. 3.000 years B.C. Depend of the content of soil, water and components of the oak wood, the color differs from dark black to greyish - often mixed up. It is a natural but mysthic play of colors. Special in keeping in mind that each small piece is unique for such a long period.
